Tigran Tsitoghdzyan
Tigran Tsitoghdzyan is a New York artist and painter who paints life like paintings with peoples faces showing through their hands. The paintings are also in black and white so the make the viewer focus more on the detail and not on the random colours. Most of Tigran Tsitoghdzyan's paintings are of women with a calm face and has no expression of being happy or sad.

This one of Tigran Tsitoghdzyan's paintings and it is of a women staring at you calmly and because it has no colour its makes the viewer look more at the detail of the painting and makes you think of how much time went in to painting this. Because of the painting being painted in black in white it doesn't make the viewer judge the painting but makes you admire of the person Tigran Tsitoghdzyan painted.
Photoshoot 1
This photoshoot i decided to make the model stand in front of a white background to see if it was easier to edit on photoshop and this photoshoot the photos are in focus and i got my model to pose in different ways so i could choose from different photos.
Edited
When photoshopping these images i tried different ways of editing the photos i tired making the background different colours but what i found to work the best is using a black background and leaving more bits of the faces in the photo to make it look more realistic.
Photoshoot 2
The pictures from this photoshoot were all blurry because of the camera but i was able to get my model to put his hands on face without moving too much and was able to take the photos in the green room and found it better to edit rather than the with background.
Edited
When photoshopping this image i was able to make the photos less blurry by using the sharpen tool and changing the opacity of the photo.
Photoshoot 3
This photoshoot went really good because i got my model to stand infant of a white background and i made the lighting bright so in photoshop i can darken the images and i also got my model to do different poses i could choose from more than just one or two.
Edited
I think that this edited photo went a bit better because of the way i edited this photo is that i didn't include the jaw line and i got my model to pose in a different way so i could only put their lips and eye on top of their hands also the lips and mouth look like they belong there and I did this by using the eraser tool and used it lightly around the lips and eye so it made it more smoother.
Photoshoot 4
This photoshoot I got a different model but the one problem is that I forgot to use the black back drop so when I was editing the photos it took longer because I had to use the brush tool and colour in the background in black and try not to delete parts of the models body. Also in the photoshoot I got my model to put his arm straight to see what it looked like but it look a bit too fake and so when editing I used the photos where the models arms are not straight.
For this edited image I used a different model but used the same technique as I did on the last model so that the eye and mouth look like they belong on the models hands and not out place. But this edited photo took longer because of the background of the model was white so that I had to use the brush tool to paint the background black and make sure that I didn't delete parts of the model.
Giuseppe Mastromatteo
Giuseppe Mastromatteo is a Italian photographer who makes surreal portrait photos with colour but the people Giuseppe Mastromatteo uses are clean looking in front of a white background. But some of Giuseppe Mastromatteo photos involve the model ripping a piece of paper of them in half and when it is ripped u can not see the models face so it gives the illusion that they are ripping their face in half.

|
This photo is similar to Tigran Tsitoghdzyan as in that the photos that they make are surreal and make the viewer think of how that photo was made. Giuseppe Mastromatteo makes the photos he makes in colour and makes the model not wear colourful makeup but the only makeup that is in colour is the lipstick so it brings the attention of the viewer to the model and the paper being ripped in half.
Rachel Baran
Rachel Baran is a 20 year old photographer and is also a photo manipulator that makes photos look scary and impossible to replicate. Most of her photos are of herself but what Rachel Baran does is make the photo look like it id not real for example one of her photos involves Rachel Baran making a gun with her hand and what is supposed to be her blood shooting out the other side is now confetti flying out.
|
|
This is a surreal picture by Rachel Baran and what makes this photo surreal is that there is a person covering the models eyes and with her mouth open we see a eye ball in her mouth and this gives the viewer the illusion that there is a real eye ball in her mouth and what the photographer has done to make the viewer focus on the eye ball is that the persons hands are covered with some colour to make it darker than the models face and the teeth of the model has been coloured to make them darker in the picture and also makes the viewer focus on the eye ball that is in the mouth and because the picture in is black and white the viewer is more focused on the brighter things in the picture.
