Introduction
Strongest Three
I choose this photograph as one of best three because it shows the scratch marks on the cheese grater and you can see the texture of it on two different sides and the lighting coming from the top right gives it a nice shine.
I also choose this photograph because it is a close up of the other side of the cheese grater that also shows the scratches on it to show it has been used before and is kinda old. I also choose this photograph because you get to see a high angle of the cheese grater and as you look lower down the photo it gets out of focus and has a nice look to it. |
F-Stop
F-Stop is how much light is passing though the lens and the higher the f-stop the less light is going to be in the photograph and the lower the f-stop the more light is going to be in the picture. Depth of field is related to the f-stop the lower the f-stop the camera is only going to focus on one object at a time but the higher the f-stop the more objects are going to be in focus.

Panning
|
Panning is when there is a object travelling at a fast speed and you move the camera in focus with the fast travelling object will blur the background out and the fast object will be in focus.
|
Shutter Speed
If the shutter speed is set below 1/125th of a second then the picture is blurred this is known as camera jog. too much light = too exposed and the picture will not look good. The fast shutter speed captures fast things in focus and a slow shutter speed captures fast things out of focus and not in detail.
Using slow shutter speed allows you to take photos even in poor lighting.
s(Tv) choose speed
A(Av) choose Aperture
Fast ---> Aperture wider --> Narrow
Slow---> Aperture closed --> Wide

AE-Auto Exposure
AE means auto exposure. The AE button on a SLR camera is used when there is a lot of light and the subject turns black on the photo and the AE button is used so you can get the detail of the person on the photo. The con of using AE is that the backgroung is overexposed and the will be very washed out.

Back-lit
Fill in Flash
Fill in Flash corrects back lit situations and ensures the background is not overexposed but it can only be used when the subject is close because the flash will not do anything. The con of using fill in flash is that the subject will be very bright and if wearing sunglasses will see the flash.
Light Meter
A light meter is used to measure the amount of light.a light meter is often used to determine the proper exposure. which allows the photographer to determine which shutter speed and f-number should be selected.
