Dan Mountford
Dan Mountford is a freelance graphic designer and photographer residing in Brighton, England. He is most well known for his stunning double exposure photography, which he describes as “a visual journey through our minds by calm and tidy means which the reality of everyday life does not show”. Mountford captures his dual subjects beautifully, giving life to new composite images that take on unique surreal forms. Even more impressive, the exposures themselves are created entirely by camera with no photoshop involved.

This photo is a mix of two different pictures one portrait picture and the other is a picture of a building on the back of the of her head the picture of the girl is a bit transparent so you can see the building in the background.
|
This photo is also a mixture of a model and a tree and as you look down the picture it fades into the trees figure. I think that this photo is better than the first one because you can tell it is sharper and you can see more of the face.

Florian Imgrund
Florian Imgrund merges images of humans with natural landscapes. All of his work is done completely in camera, captured on film, self-developed, and free from any computer manipulation. The strong contrast between the black and the white adds texture to the images and distinct the hidden layers that have been blurred into one. Ethereal yet intense creations that will evoke feelings of peacefulness and reassert one’s close relationship with the natural environment.

Hard LightHard light creates contrast with shadows and highlights and can be unflattering and very dramatic. The smaller the light source the harder the light is.
|
Soft LightCreates less contrast with shadows and highlights and makes the skin look soft flatter and airbrushed, the larger the light source the softer the light is.

1st Photoshoot
What is good about this photoshoot is that i got my model to do the right poses but the bad thing about this photoshoot is that there is glare on my models glasses from the light and the background was hard to edit because i didn't cover the back properly so it made it harder to edit in photoshop.
2nd Photoshoot
What was good about this photoshoot was that i got my model to do multiple poses so when i went to edit the photos i wouldn't be stuck with just one pose i had multiple to chose form and the background was white so it made it easier to edit his head and i was able to edit easier because i have learnt from my mistake from the first photoshoot.
3rd Photoshoot
What was good about this photoshoot was that i told the model to pose with and without his glasses so when i edit them it made it easier to edit but the bad thing was that his jacket was in the way of his face so when editing it was harder to do because the jacket is in the way.
Photoshop
First thing I did was delete the background of the model so it doesn't look messy and so I can edit the tree in later I used the quick selection tool to do this.
Then using the same quick selection tool I did the same to the tree to get rid of the background.
Then using the quick selection tool I highlighted my model so i can make a layer mask of him and put it on the tree layer.
I used the lighten blending mode so the tree can be seen on the layer and used a solid colour like white for the background colour and made a duplicate of the tree so you can see more of the model and the tree.
The final edited photo should look like this if the steps are followed correctly. You can use the black brush tool to remove some of the trees to make it smaller and more clean.
1st Edited
These edited photos are inspired by Florian Imgrund because his double exposer photos are in black and white but I kept the colour of the tree which made it different from Florian Imgrund and what i did different was that i kept the head shape of my model and in Florian Imgrund they had the models head shape different so in this one the models head shape is the leafs off the trees and had no colour.

2nd Edited
These edited photos are inspired by Dan Montford and how he has a female model that is in black and white but what I did different is that I tried to make the model black and white and keep the colour of the tree and the second edited I kept the colour of both model and tree which iI thought came out better than the edited photo with the black and white model and the difference between mine and Dan Montford is that i kept the colour of the trees and Dan Montford didn't keep the colour so i kept the colour because i like how it brings colour to the model.

3rd Edited
For these edited photos I kept the colour of the tree and the model which is inspired by Florian Imgrund but what I did different was keep the colour of the model and the tree. In this picture from Florian Imgrund is that they kept the shape of the model but no colour to the picture and it is all black and white so i used pictures of trees with bright colours to them and gave the model and picture some colour to it.
